Welcome To Brennan-Rogers: The Art of Media and Communication
Welcome
Hello and welcome to Brennan-Rogers. My name is Tracy Peterson and I have been happily working here at Brennan-Rogers for thirteen years. My early years started as a third grade teacher and I was fortunate enough to loop with my first group of students to fourth grade where I taught for another three years.
In 2007, Brennan-Rogers was awarded a Voluntary School Choice grant in which I became the facilitator. Our students and school became the Aspiring Authors Academy. Then in 2010, we were named a Magnet School and our aspiring authors became media and communication specialists. It is my great honor and privilege to work with all the students in grades PreK-8 as well as an amazingly, talented staff.
Over the past seven years our Magnet program as equipped all classrooms with interactive ENO boards, document readers, iPads, and Mac desktops. In addition to these technologies, teachers have an opportunity to sign out iPad carts and Mac laptops for individual student use. Magnet has also funded some extraordinary field study projects all over the city and as far away as Philadelphia, PA for our middle school students.
When I'm not at Brennan, I am a proud mother of 8 year old twins, Alexis and Tyler. We enjoy playing soccer, dancing and reading together.
